He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sims and A. Irene Sims (Mason); and his siblings, Michael (Judy), Ron, Jim (Monica), Russ, Sue (Joe) and Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Diane L. Rehkopf; his daughter Kelly Ann Garner (Chad) of Jefferson, Georgia; his grandchildren, Isabelle, Gabriel and Ellery; and his siblings, Bob of Inverness, Florida, Laurie LaRue of Superior, WI, Diane Getts (Rehkopf) of Big Rapids and Amy Sims (Derks) of Fremont. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
