He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Anne Jewett. He is survived by: his children, Juli Anne (Tony Dalton) and Joseph John Arthur Thompson; his grandchildren, Maria, Nicole, Lydia, Danielle, Mark, Tony, Tyler Dalton (Amber), Kyle Dalton (Allison) and Ryan Dalton; and his great grandchildren, Dean and Harvey Dalton.

Viewing was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (1325 Woodward Ave, Big Rapids, MI 49307). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
