He was predeceased by: his wife V. J.; his sister Marcy Covey; and his stepdaughter Tammy Hanners. He is survived by: his siblings, Kelly Benjamin (Kate) of Mecosta, Kevin Schroeder (Jamie) of Holland and Karen Griffith (Mike) of Carpentersville, IL; his stepson Shane Neel of Vicksburg; and his grandchildren, J. T., Wyatt Neel, Jordy and Danny Hanners. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (408 W Bellevue St, Big Rapids, MI 49307). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
