Marie Ebenstein Obituary

Marie Ebenstein, 94, of Big Rapids passed away at Altercare on Friday, October 19, 2012. She was born on July 14, 1918 in Conway, Michigan, the daughter of Seymour and Martha Lewis. Marie enjoyed crafts and quilting. She made the best apple pie. She is survived by two children, Rosalee (Dennis) McClure of Hesperia and John (Joyce) Ebenstein of Howard City, three granddaughters and several great grandchildren, one sister, Evelyn "Oley" Stewart, one brother Ben Lewis, plus several nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband August, one son Edward and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Jack Alvey officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pine Plains Cemetery.
