She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Hicks; her parents, John Johnson and Mary Johnson (Rice); her brother Marvin E. Johnson; her daughter Mary Simatos (Peter); and her daughter-in-law Helen Jewell Hicks.
She is survived by: her sons, William "Willie" Hicks (Shyann) of Reed City and Michael Hicks of Utah; and her sister Martha Baker of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
