She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Vellenga and Frances Vandenberg; her stepfather Marvin Vandenberg; and her uncles, Olin Sunderlin, Joseph Sunderlin and Robert (Helen Nelsen).
She is survived by: her children, John Shineldecker (Nicole) and Kari Bernard (Patrick); her grandchildren, Lilly, Audrey, Shelby, Garrett and Hannah; her sister Marla Bowman (Robert); and her stepbrother Robert Vandenberg.
