She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Balavitch and Elsie Balavitch. She is survived by: her husband Gordy Allers; her children, Tina Randall (Kevin), Gordy Jr. Allers (Sarah) and Debra Rolston (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Erin Randall (Liz Dean), Allison Frost (Ragen), Kate Randall, Jordan Allers (Jamison Hawley), Brayden Allers (Carly), Bryce Allers (Carlos Bottomo), Andrew, Ashton, Trenton, Tanner VanLangen, Emilee Cooley (Nate) and Holly Reed (Timothy); and her great grandchildren, Berkley, Wessyn, Ciara, Cade and Thea.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home (128 S Warren Ave, Big Rapids, MI 49307). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan's honor may be made to the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.
