With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gertrude Edna Ottobre of Big Rapids, Michigan, born in Rodney, Michigan, who passed away on January 8, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey VanWestrienen and Gladys VanWestrienen (Smith); and her siblings, Margaret Kirshbaum, Alice VanderSchuur, Wilma Jean Holt, Marcella Thorson, Esther Watson, Charles VanWestrienen, Kenneth and Jack VanWestrienen Sr..
She is survived by: her husband Paul Ottobre Sr.; her children, Terry VanWestrienen, Donna Glover (Henry), Paul Ottobre Jr., Tony Ottobre (Cindy), Cindy Wymer (Darrell), Mike Ottobre (Dorothy), Joe Ottobre (Debbie), Phillip Ottobre (Amy), Patty Langell (Jim), Linda Bolton (Mark) and Alice Steffes (Delmer); her sisters, Maxine VanAlstine (Elmer) and Pat Skipper; and her niece Gladys DePew (Dennis). She is also survived by 30 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Mary/St. Paul Parish, or the Manna Pantry at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
