He is survived by: his former wife Linda Badgely; his wife Linda Poirier; his children, Alan Poirier (Cheryl) of Grand Rapids and Laura Poirier of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Anthony Poirier, Joshua Philip Poirier Clark (Mellissa), Shane Gadshian and Markis Davison; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Skylnn, Asja and Lilly; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Poirier of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
