George Terence Wales Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Terence Wales of Big Rapids, Michigan, born in Traverse City, Michigan, who passed away on July 12, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Roy Wheeler, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Alice Marie Wheeler; his daughters, Valerie Wales-Beatty (Ken) of Grand Ledge and Judy Wales (Alec Wondolkowski) of Cedar Springs; his grandsons, Joseph Beatty of Grand Ledge and Matthew Beatty (Kelsey) of Grand Ledge; his brothers, Terin Wales (Marj) of Harrison and Brian Wales (Sherrie) of Houghton Lake; and his siblings-in-law, Joan Wheeler and Bill Wheeler (Joan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made for the Alice and George Wales Hockey Scholarship at FSU, Tuba Bach, or a charity of choice.
