He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Monty and Marie Monty (Lancial); his former wife Linda Pomaville; his son-in-law Roger Wells; his brother Joseph Monty; his in-laws, Nancy, Vernice Campau and Cordell Logan; and his siblings, Edward, Paul Croo and Germaine Croo.
He is survived by: his children, Catherine Wells (Carl Nelson) of Grand Rapids, MI, Patricia Jones (Dennis) of Roachdale, IN and James Monty (Kristina) of Cottonwood Height, UT; his grandchildren, Nicholas Wells (Erin), Alexander Wells (Sarah), Amber Jones-Somers (Jake) and Micayla Jones-Murphy (Chase); his great grandchild Flora Somers; his former wife's children, Carrie Fluette and Matthew Wood; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Monty of St. Clair Shores, MI and Rosemarie Spence of Big Rapids, MI. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
