He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederic Sr. and Lillian Benedict (Nurmi); his significant other Barbara Bloomquist; his sisters, Mariam Ryan and Helen Hood; and his nephews, Fred Ryan, Robert Hood and Charles Hood.
He is survived by: his brother Jack Benedict (Nerita) of Scottsdale, AZ; and his nieces and nephews, Tom Benedict (Marian), Mark Ryan (Maridee), Jill Aye (Ron), Kelle Snavely (Brad) and Carolyn Holmes (Randy).
