He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Erbie Satterfield and Annie Satterfield (Moore); his spouse Lady Alice Horton; his daughters, Sue Ellen Birkam (Stephen) of Reed City and Deborah Ann Shepard of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Matthew Birkam (Hannah), Frederick Gene Birkam (Sonya), Raymond Lee Shepard (Christy) and Alisha Kathleen Vroma (Steve); his great grandchildren, Cole, Bryce, Shawn, Stephen, Lillian, Payten, Maddy, Dallon and Lady; his daughter Kathy; and his sister Sally Monks. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made for Spectrum Health Hospice or the Wounded Warriors Project.
