He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Schmidt and Sally Schmidt (Graham); his mother-in-law Marilyn Baker; and his close friend Michael Holland. He is survived by: his wife Jayne Schmidt of Big Rapids; his children, Kali Mazzenga (Michael) of Clarkston and Kasey Schmidt of Big Rapids; his grandson Logan Mazzenga; his stepsons, Mark Danielson of Big Rapids, Steven Danielson (Jessica Johnson) of Big Rapids and Derek Danielson of Reed City; his stepgrandchildren, Braylan and Carly Danielson; his siblings, Jeff (Judy) and Sheryl; and his close friend Jim Randall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
