He was predeceased by: his parents, Hank Fleteren and Martha Van Fleteren (Bakelandt); his son Kurt Van Fleteren; and his brother Hank Van Fleteren. He is survived by: his wife Joan Van Fleteren (Bow); his daughter Christa Abitz (Dan); and his stepdaughters, Theresa Gautreau (John Nicastro Jr.) of Big Rapids, Robin Adkins of Big Rapids, Sonya Morgan (Dan) of Big Rapids, Kimberly Buckner (Gary) of Knoxville, TN and Shannon McWilliams of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
