He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Obert and Blanche Obert (Cook); his wife Sharon Borstler; his daughter Brenda Obert; and his great grandchild Penelope Lou Obert.
He is survived by: his children, Brian (Susan) of Albion, Mary of Lansing, Alan of Stanwood, Dan (Marcia) of Albion and Lester of Big Rapids; his grandchildren, Rachel, Savannah, Jon (Morgan), Todd and Colt; his great grandchildren, Chelsea, DeWayne and David; and his siblings-in-law, Joan of Rogers Heights and Glen Marvel of Big Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dewitt's name to the American Cancer Society.
