He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Deschane and Doris B. Deschane (Cain); and his sister Loretta Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Noelle Johnson of Chatham, Emily Britton of Marquette and Allan C. Deschane of Big Bay; his grandchildren, Hunter Prisk, Caleb Johnson, Lilly Deschane, Cora Deschane, Sarah Sanborn, Hannah Britton, Cassie Britton and Travis Britton; his great grandchild Abel; and his brothers, Lorenzo Whitmarsh of Olympia, WA and Richard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 N. Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
