It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Schlau of Beverly Hills, Michigan, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Gail Schlau (Stillwell). He is survived by: his children, John Schlau Jr. (Linda), Kevin Schlau (Victoria), Kurt Schlau (Marybeth) and Mary Beth Gillis (Kemp); his grandchildren, Dr. Erica Pearson (Alex), Derek (Hayley), Julia (Nate), Jack III, Jacob, Anna, Amanda, Brian, Michael, Kyle and Brendan; his great grandchildren, Luca and Rowan; and his siblings, Peg Leous (Alfred), Bill Schlau (Arlene), Mary Leous (Dick), Grace Kinsella (Paul), Elsie Dixon (Harry), Dottie Mulligan (Chum) and Ruth Mitchell (Tom).

Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in lieu of flowers.

When I think of Jack, I think of his deep love of his cherished wife Gail (and her love for him), and how his family was everything to him. I hope to be to my family what he was to his.
