It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Charles Schonberg of Bessemer, Michigan, born in Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Schonberg and Mayme Schonberg (Anderson); his son Steven Chase; his sister Rhoda Johnson; his niece Lisa (Johnson); and his nephews, Leo Zubryckyj and Craig Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Gamboni; his children, Andi Schonberg (Love), Ben, Max, Mollie (Barry Jacobs), Sam (Kristin), Gabe (Marilyn), Caleb and Zoe; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Ayden; his daughter Sister Jane; his grandchildren, Adam and Kathryn; and his children, Duncan and Alicia (Angus). He is also survived by three brothers and their wives; six sisters and husbands.

In lieu of flowers, the family has decided that Bob would want nothing more than donations to funding Copper Peak.
