He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Oie and Mary Oie (Novak); his daughter Kirsten; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughter Rachel Niemi (Steve); his grandsons, Ivan (Toni) and Alex; his great grandchildren, Yuri, Iliza, Henrik and Leif; and his siblings, Jim (Patti) and Mary Beth Oie.
