He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Clara (Gerlach) and John W. Johnson Jr.; his parents-in-law, Konstu and Sylvia Hill; his brother Tom; and his brother-in-law Jim Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ruth Hill; his children, Jeffrey, Todd, Cathy Skibbie (Joe), Michael (Anna) and John IV (Michaela); his grandchildren, Alli (Amit), Liana (Tony), Morgan, Matthew, Lindsay, Luke, Tyler, Charlie, William and Olin; his great grandchild Silas; his sister Cheryl Ulvila (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Hill (Bonnie), Gerri Hill and Francyne Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
