He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Oman and Helmi Oman. He is survived by: his wife Rita Kontny; his stepchildren, Kevin Erickson and Louise Erickson (Tim Jarvis); his stepgrandchildren, Tim Jarvis Jr. and Logyne Erickson; and his pet Otis.
