Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Diana Lee Nelson of Bessemer, Michigan, born in Ironwood, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 75, on July 5, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband Glenn "Poco" Nelson; her parents, Reino Niemi and Lempi Niemi; and her brother Richard. She is survived by: her children, Philip (Katherine Plack) and Catherine Anchin (Scott); her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alexander Anchin; and her siblings, Sandy Rowoldt (late Larry) and Nancy Kauppi (David). She is also survived by extended family that includes many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donations can be made in her memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (support.pancan.org/goto/diananelson), an organization that continues to research and support families with pancreatic cancer.
