She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Joseph and Flora Belle Montague; her son Dennis Conard (Jan); her husband Merle B Conard; her brothers, Lewis, Phillip and Ronald Montague; her children-in-law, David Merkel and Jan; and her grandsons, Steve Conard and David Kiefer.
She is survived by: her children, Sarah, William Conard (Ruth) of Evansville, IN, Brenda Merkel (Dave) of Chadron, NE and Margaret Poole (Glenn) of Benton Harbor, MI.; and her grandchildren, Melody Nelson (Steve), Timothy Conard, Christy Davis, Stephanie Kiefer, Jeffrey Conard, Jon Conard, Dan Simpson (Mona), Floyd Merkel (Brenda), Tony Merkel, Kathryn Merkel, Victoria Salgado (Rico), Glenn II Poole (Stephanie) and Tonya Turner (Chad). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that donations be made to Sarah's Books, an Endowment within Berrien Community Foundation or Caring Circle of Lakeland.
