“R.I.P. Irv... You were the most talented trucker Interstate ever had, Buddy... Enjoyed our lunchtime talks about growing up in the northwoods of Wisconsin. Irven, you were a kind, decent man from an America that no longer exists. They tore the plant down in June, 2016. It now lives only in the memories of the few of us Blacksmiths who ever swung a bull ram at a key in a sow-block, as you sat on your blue truck and said "LET ME HEAR YOU GROAN, MEN!!!" ;-) Irv, it was truly a treat working with you, from the time you took me under your wing when i was an 19 year old rookie... And your advice on work and life was so insightful, i often find myself quoting you. God Bless Irv Lipke, They DON'T make men like you anymore. I'm glad you got out with your pension.
