He was predeceased by: his parents, John Machurick and Lucille Machurick (Oleske); his wife Donna Jean Fordt; his children, Tonie and Tamie; his granddaughter Darcie Vugrinovich; and the mother of his children Donna Conrad.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Schaefer (late Bill), Diana Schmaltz and LuAnn Nicol (Mark); his grandchildren, Monica Brockway (Paul), Kirsten Schaefer, Brandon Schaefer, Dawn Hopkins (Michelle), Raschel Harbison, Kristi Swice, Derek Nicol, Laura Zick (Garrett) and Steven Machurick; his great grandchildren, Micaela, Aiden, Jaxon, Mackenzie, Jayden, Luca, Sage, Aubrey, Rosalie, Isla and Samuel; his stepchildren, Dr. Tamara Eaton, Dawn Ginter, Jr. (Tom) and James Kliemann (Stacey); his stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Joshua and Noah; and his siblings, Rose Marie Kwaterski and Jerry Machurick (Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church and sent to C/O St. Anthony's Catholic Church-509 W. 4th Street, Buchanan, MI 49107.

“My uncle was such a sweet, considerate, kind, loving, Godly man! I’m saddened that he is gone and yet I know he’s been welcomed in the Lord’s house with open arms! Those he leaves behind will forever have his memories in their hearts. I’ve attached a picture of the last time I saw him, when he & Donna visited my dad Jerry in N.C.
