He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Bixby and Genevieve Bixby (Velthouse); his wife Patricia Bixby (Kuhn); his children, Bryan Bixby (Jennifer), Kim Rockwell (Mark), Cheryl Gibson, Diana Parini and Trisha Bixby; his siblings, Janet Schafer (George) and Carl Bixby (Karen); his sister-in-law Pat Bixby; and his brother Daniel. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
