He was predeceased by: his wife Bethany Hutchings Scribner; and his sons, James, Kenneth, Charles and Beverly Ely Scribner.
He is survived by: his daughter Janet Scribner Horn; and his stepdaughter Sandy Balli (Don). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
