She was predeceased by: her parents, Sjoerd "George" Tilstra and Martha Tilstra (Böbisch); and her siblings, Emma, Karl, John, Fred, Ruth, Bill and Elfriede.
She is survived by: her children, Verona Valentine, Dantar Oosterwal and Erik Oosterwal (Susan); her grandchildren, David Valentine, Audrey Miller (Robert), Eva Oosterwal (Mason Bailey), Erik-Philip Oosterwal (Kayla) and Matthew Oosterwal (Kate); her great grandchild Sophia Oosterwal; and her brother Adolf Tilstra.
