He is survived by: his mother Elaine Geik Carlson; his wife Rebecca Knepper Carlson; his daughters, Rachel Fitrzyk (Jon) and Sarah Kiefer (Anthony); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Elijah, Grayson, Van and Eliana; and his siblings, Joel Carlson (Rebecca) and Lori Carlson.
