He was predeceased by: his parents, John Michael and Patronella O'Connor; his siblings, Maureen Garren, Thomas O'Connor and Mike O'Connor; and his son Patrick O'Connor.
He is survived by: his wife Celia Jean of Berrien Springs; his children, Cheryl Merrell (Bob) of Virginia, David K. O'Connor (Tammy) of Michigan, Annette Boudreau of Michigan, Michael O'Connor (Leisa) of Michigan and John O'Connor of Michigan; his stepchildren, Shirley Ruder of Florida, Mary Ellen Reese of Indiana, Anne Kaufman of Michigan, Christina Kaufman of Michigan and Donna Muir of Florida; and his sisters, Margaret Hermesdorf (Jim) of Florida and Kathleen Helge (Greg) of Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Caring Circle, St. Joseph; or St. Jude Research Hospital for Children.
