He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Reed Akers and Harriet Akers; his siblings, Genareed Durbin (Vince), Janice Lorenz (Bob), Carla Hinsley and Harry Akers (Janet); his wife Renee; his children, Saaksun Daniel Akers (Becky), Julia Campbell (Joe), Michael Akers, Erica Akers, David Akers (Alexandria), Lilliah Churchill (Steve), Leonid Marmelshtein (Heather Males), James Akers (Christiana), Dean Akers (Taija), Anthony Akers (Olivia), Christianna Kralisz (Austin), Rosemary Vantassel (Kyle) and Peter Akers; his grandchildren, Brooke, Paige, Faith, Laurie, Calum, Taylor, Brady, Deliah, Sue, Jen, Anthony, Matthew, Kaileann, Alexzander, Maverick, Idamae, Kayden, McKenzie, Keaton, Cruze, Riley, Danny, Oziah, Stella, Michelle, Nikki and Owen; his great grandchild Ayalina Akers; his daughter-in-law Danielle; and his children, Thomas Lee Akers, Kendall and Renee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Shepherd Lutheran Church (2225 W 14 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48009). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Shepard Lutheran Church (2225 W 14 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48009).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a college fund for Peter Akers, Kendall's youngest child.
