He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil "Molly" VanBrandeghen and Mary VanBrandeghen (Brady); and his brother-in-law Don Karau. He is survived by: his wife Rita (Lindemann); his daughters, Claire Van Brandeghen (MI) of Grand Rapids, Gwyneth Pieper (MI) of Linden and Rachel Weaver (CO) of Westminster; his grandchildren, Connor Weaver, Tobin Weaver and Molly Pieper; and his sisters, Mary Jane Karau of Kewanee and Catherine Berry (Michael) of Kewanee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
