He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Richards and Rose Richards; his son Alfred "Butch" Richards; and his brothers, Mike Richards, Louis Richards (Patsy) and Lawrence Richards.
He is survived by: his wife Dora; his children, Ann Venier, Tom Richards (Anne Graziana) and Tim Richards (Tina); his grandchildren, Amy Webb (Barry), Holly Matson (James), David Venier (Kristin), Andrew Venier (Nick Board), Tabitha Sherphorn (Steve), Tiffany Richards (Zack Chase), Timothy Richards, Melissa Niemi (Justin), Jennifer Bussa (Don), Siobion Richards, Thomas Richards and Peadar Richards; his great grandchildren, Eleanor Forrester, Madalynn Matson, Abigail Matson, Jack Venier, Harper Venier, Samuel Sherphorn, Kalista Sherphorn, Annabelle Sherphorn, Hunter Niemi, Isabellla Bussa, Landon Bussa and Declan Bussa; and his brothers, Ronald Richards (Linda), Charles Richards (Magdolna), Robert Richards (Louise) and Theodore Richards (Diane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
