It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona A. Devowe of Bergland, Michigan, born in Trout Creek, Michigan, who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kananen and Ina Kananen (Linna); and her siblings, Norma, Verna, Betty and William.
She is survived by: her husband Jon David DeVowe; her children, Debra Rankin (Wally) of Iron River, Catherine Moses (Larry) of Iron River, David DeVowe and Lori Niemi (Mark); her brothers, John Kananen (Barbara) and Dan Kananen (Kathy); and her siblings-in-law, Sandy Kananen, Gerald DeVowe and Eugene DeVowe (Alice). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
