He is survived by: his wife Judy Ivey Grimes; his daughter Alyssa Christina Grimes of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Ivey Nichole Grimes-Locklear and Steven Robert Malpass; and his siblings, Penny Grimes Popp of Michigan, Judy Grimes Holmquist of Michigan and Charles Ralph Grimes of Michigan.
