He was predeceased by: his parents, Renzie Ellis Sr. and Clara Pearl (Seawood); and his siblings, Lillian Hurse, Florence Conway, Benjamin Hurse, James Hurse, Marie Barnes, Lorraine Foriest and Lennie Hurse.
He is survived by: his daughter Jihan Hurse; his grandson Rion White; and his siblings, Renzie Ellis Jr., Theotis Hurse, Jettie and Erma Hurse. He is also survived by extended family composed of nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends.
