He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Milton P. McAfee; his wife Gwen; his son Lenny Broyles; his sister Doris Jean Cornelius; his brother-in-law Kelvin Cornelius; and his grandparents, Henry McAfee, Alberta McAfee Lovelace, Willie and Maud Cole.
He is survived by: his mother Pearlie McAfee of Eau Claire, MI; his uncle George; his sons, Kojak Sims (Na'eem) and Carwen "LaVell" Sims of Benton Harbor, MI; his siblings, Alzena Crumble, Jackie Hart (Clarence), Marie Oberholtzer (Paul), Vera Holmes of Benton Harbor, MI., Jannie Kiser of Eau Claire, Michigan, Rev. Don McAfee (Denise) of Benton Harbor, MI, Minister Steve McAfee of Eau CLaire, MI and Dennis (Caitlin) of St. Joseph, MI.; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Muhammad, Brenda Broyles, Glanda "Kay" Whistnant of Benton Harbor, MI., Annie Delores Najieb (Lawrence) of Chicago, IL. and John Whistnant of Benton, Harbor.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
