He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Mae Goody; his sisters, Evelyn, Ethel and Doris; and his stepbrother Lanny.
He is survived by: his children, Jon R. Smith (Janet), Kristy H. Nicol (Duncan), Tammy Myatt and Cory M. Smith (Deborah). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post 105 (1645 Paw Paw Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022).
