He was predeceased by: his parents, William Russell and Muriel Russell (Schriner); his wife Arlene Hahn; his sons, John, Dave and William "Scotty" Russell; and his siblings, Nancie Clemens (Russell) and William Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Russell (Bonnie) and Lisa Sutherland (Josh); his grandchildren, Heather Russell, Cassandra Gaishin (Jeff), Corey Russell (Jaymie), Ashley Mann (Josh), Bryan Russell (Jenny), Taylor Russell, Emily Tavolacci (Antonio) and Kate Sutherland; and his brother Richard "Rick" Russell (Angie). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
