He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Henderson and Katie B. Henderson; his birth mother Katie B Henderson; his stepmother Ethel Henderson (Mother Frankie Henderson); his son Joe Leslie Henderson Jr.; his grandson Christian Jaquan Davis; and his siblings, Emmie Henderson, Willie Pearl Henderson, James Hersey, Tommy Hersey, Paul Hersey, Albert Hersey and Richard Hersey.
He is survived by: his children, Jamahl Rudley Moore of South Carolina and Tenesha Perry; his granddaughters, Ronesha Edison of Benton Harbor, Shakeya Davis of Benton Harbor, Donshell Williams of Benton Harbor, Diamone Williams of Benton Harbor, Shya Rudley of Benton Harbor, Cadijah Roseman of Benton Harbor, Danyell Williams of Greensville and Michelle Rudley of Minnesota; his siblings, Richard West, Thomas West of Nashville, TN, Georgia Wellington (Michael) of Hendersonville, TN, Vickie Wiest of Nashville, TN, Delgie Palmer of Hendersonville, TN, Latoya Henderson of Benton Harbor, Tamika Henderson of Benton Harbor and Regina Henderson of Benton Harbor; his close friend Clara Smith (Lemual Brown); and his nephew James Parker Hersey Sr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
