He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Mae Cooper and Robert Whitfield; his parents-in-law, Opal Napier and John Newman Napier; his son Karim Napier; his brothers, Robert Whitfield Jr., Willie Whitfield, Larry Cooper and Marvin Hoyle Sr.; his nephew Mickey Booth; his niece Tavena Cooper; and his great-niece Tiara Whitfield.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Whitfield; his children, Jessica Whitfield Napier and Elliot Napier (Ladonna); his grandchildren, Timiya Mason, Tewan Napier and Kamryn Johnson of Pontiac Michigan; his great grandchildren, Kaysen Napier and Kendrixx Napier; his siblings, Carolyn Booth, Rose Cooper, James Cooper, Dennis Cooper and Jackie Cooper; and his pet Kash.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greater Community Christian Fellowship (870 Nate Wells Sr Dr, Benton Harbor, MI 49022). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Crystal Springs Cemetery (1655 E Napier Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022).
