He is survived by: his children, Ambree Gathing, Doris Gathing of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Gene Gathing Jr. (Jacqueline), Keith Gathing (Kristiye) of Detroit and Kenneth Gathing (Zelma) of South Bend, Indiana; his grandchildren, Anthony McCoy of Benton Harbor, Alvin Noah Thomas Gathing of Detroit, Michigan, Brittney Gathing of Benton Harbor, Temesha Gathing of Grand Rapids and Kenniya Gathing of Austin, Texas; his great grandchildren, Kynnadi, Mason, Spencer, Jevaryon Jr., Kamryn and Zuri; his brothers, Ernest L Gathing, Robert Morrow, Houston Morrow (Sarah), Clifton Morrow, Clarence Morrow (Ronita) and Henry J Morrow; and his friend Wyomia Norris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
