She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Hicks and Susan Hicks; her son John Edwin Altherr; her grandson Peanut Garner; and her siblings, Betty Abbott and Charles Hicks.
She is survived by: her husband Larry; her daughters, Susie Marie Altherr-Garner of Benton Harbor, Sammie Nicole Altherr (Danny Head) of Benton Harbor and Carrie Pietsch of Florida; her siblings, Patricia Swigart of Florida, Diann Harbin of Coloma, Carol Kozma of Florida and Edwin Hicks of Coloma; and her grandchildren, Keilee, Addisyn Garner and Riley Head.
Donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
