Metz Jr. of Benton Harbor, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene J. Metz, and Jane Metz, Sr. (Parrish); his wife Susan J. Popke; his children, Diane Griffith and Terrill "Terry" Metz; and his siblings, Jim, Mark Metz and Sally Barnes.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim Metz (Darlene) of LaPorte, IN, Paul Metz of Benton Harbor and Jon Metz of Benton Harbor; his children-in-law, Ray Griffith and Natalie Metz of Mishawaka; his grandchildren, Kristin McFarland, Andy Metz, Jenna Bryant (Mitchell), Hayden Heffron, Kaia, Hanna Metz, Zoey Metz, Corey and Chris McCullough; and his brother Michael Metz (Sandy) of Summerville. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
