Ernest left this world on June 26, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by : his parents, Prentis Washington and Clara Washington; and his siblings, James, Dan, Ambrose Washington, Elizabeth Deshay, Marie Cherry, Bernice Conway, Catherine Mosley and Lillie Hudson.

He is survived by : his wife Freddia Washington of Benton Harbor, MI.; his children, Brenda Washington, Annette Washington and Karima Washington of Benton Harbor, MI.; and his godchildren, Derrick Miller, Damita Burton and Simeon McCoy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Robbins Brothers Funeral Home (204 S Fair Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 12th 2024 at the Crystal Springs Cemetery (1655 E Napier Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022).
