With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ellen Sue Nelson of Benton Harbor, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Ellen Sue's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ellen Sue has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Grimes and Ruth Grimes (Voyce); her husband John "Jack" Nelson; and her siblings, Jean and Dale Grimes.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Nelson and Cheryl Youngblood; and her grandsons, Bret Nelson, Benjamin Nelson and Alexander Nelson.
In the spirit of Sue's giving nature, the family wishes to express their desire to donate her extensive sewing and knitting patterns, as well as supplies, to those who would benefit from these items.
