With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Gerencser in Benton Harbor, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Netwig and Camille Netwig (Meyer); her siblings, Chester and Camille; and her nieces, Susan and Elaine.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Gerencser; her children, Susan, Elaine, JoAnn Klug (Ron) of South Haven, John Gerencser (Linda) of Lititz and Steven Gerencser (Elaine Roth) of Mishawaka, Indiana.; her grandchildren, Samuel Fields, Michal Frazee (Dave), Suzannah Deneau (Alexander), Margrette McWilliams (Jay), Lillie Ponnusamy (Vinod), John Klug (Tristan), Alexandra Ramos-Klug (Sergio), Steven J. Gerencser, Susan Gerencser and Nicholas Gerencser; her cousins, Anna, Jeno Bilicz and Robert Kish, Sr.; and also, Koba Jaiser, Claire, Liam McWilliams, William Frazee, Carolyn, Vincent, Carson Deneau, Jordi, Petra Ponnusamy, Wilder, Flora Klug and Santiago Ramos-Klug.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends sending memorials to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Benton Harbor where Mickey was a member for many years, St. Paul Lutheran Church, South Haven, or to Michigan Lutheran High School, St. Joseph.
