He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Johnson and Taris Jackson; and his children, Adrienne Nickerson and Derrick Bristol. He is survived by: his wife Kaneasha Johnson; his children, Cheryl Garner, Cabrina Roberson, Shanna Fashion, Linda Johnson Haigler, Valerie Nickerson, Talisa Hawkins, Kyrei Heard, Javier Johnson, Jesse Jackson III, Dan Lee Johson Jr. and Daniel Nickerson; his siblings, Willie Mae Thomas and Curtis Williams; his mother-in-law Elisa Perkins; his siblings-in-law, Shericka Perkins, Rickiea McMillion, Ricky McMillion, Tommy Heard III and Quartez Perkins; and his cousin Dennis Jones. He is also survived by 45 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Robbins Brothers Funeral Home (204 S Fair Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022). A burial was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at the Ft. Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
