He was predeceased by: his father Heinrich Nickel. He is survived by: his wife Edith Wolff; his children, Edward Nickel (Darla), H. Michael Nickel, Annette Nickel and John Nickel (Lisa); his grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, John Paul (Abigail), Cooper, Karla and Hank; and his sister Helga Oelke (Ernst) of Stevensville. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
